Canoe Builder
Sales - Service - Repairs
Utterson - Muskoka - Ontario

I handcraft canoes with care and attention. My cedar canvas canoes are light, strong and of exceptional value. I saw my own lumber and make the seats and thwarts in my backyard shop. The wood is finished in marine varnish and the exterior is # 10 canvas, 3 coats of filler, and 3 coats of enamel.

I stand behind every canoe I make!

My love of canoe building may be connected to my enjoyment of camping & canoeing in Algonquin Park. One Camping holiday I had 11 grandchildren (8 in diapers) on a canoe trip through Algonquin Park.

There's no life like it!

I retired in 1990 but even at age 80 building canoes is still a pleasure, not a job.
